More hearts for healthcare workers!
Lots of parts of the city have been trying to show solidarity with healthcare workers on the front lines of COVID-19 in different ways, including: lighting up in blue, lighting up in red, and making their windows into hearts.
And now, Bryant Park is showing its own special tribute! The park’s landscapers mowed their lawn into a giant heart, which is a love letter of sorts to all of New York City. “Thank you healthcare workers, first responders, and essential workers,” the Park’s Instagram account read. “Thank you to everyone staying home, social distancing, and checking in on their neighbors.”
The landscapers, Baker & Sons and Moe’s Lawn Care, wrote, “[A] tribute to our health care workers…the least we could do to show our support!”
Like most NYC Parks, Bryant Park has still been open during the shutdown, but has been communicating that visitors must stay six feet apart from others.
