Summer in NYC isn’t official until the Bryant Park lawn transforms into a giant outdoor cinema. Following the news of Brooklyn Bridge Park’s “Movies With A View”, Bryant Park has just confirmed the return of its legendary Paramount+ Movie Nights for 2026.
From beloved classics to crowd-pleasing favorites and visually captivating films spanning all genres, the 2026 season is promising to be pretty star-studded–all enjoyed beneath the city skyline.
Whether you’re planning the ultimate free date night or looking for a family-friendly evening, here is everything you need to know about the 2026 season.
The 2026 Schedule & Logistics
The series remains one of the city’s longest-running free programs (dating back to 1992!), and this year it’s taking over Monday nights throughout the peak of summer.
- Dates: July 13 – September 14, 2026
- When: Every Monday night
- Time: The lawn opens at 5 pm; films begin at 8 pm
- Where: The Bryant Park Lawn
Pro-Tip: The run for the lawn is real–people begin lining up well before 5 pm. If you want a prime spot, arrive early with your blanket in hand!
Bryant Park Movie Nights 2026 Lineup
The 2026 lineup was just unveiled, and it features a curated mix of cult favorites and award-winning classics, all set against skyline views, and popcorn-filled evenings on the lawn.
This year’s star-studded lineup includes:
- July 13: Wayne’s World
- July 20: Good Morning, Vietnam
- July 27: The Truman Show
- August 3: Bridget Jones’s Diary
- August 10: Catch Me If You Can
- August 17: City of God
- August 24: King Creole
- August 31: No Country for Old Men
- September 7: Galaxy Quest
- September 14: Shakespeare in Love
As always, Hester Street Fair will be on-site with a curated selection of food vendors, and Stout NYC will be serving beer and wine for those looking to elevate their picnic.
Know Before You Go
- What: Bryant Park Movie Nights 2026
- Where: Bryant Park Lawn (6th Ave between 40th & 42nd St)
- Entry: Completely free and open to the public
- Seating: No chairs, tables, or plastic ground coverings (tarps/yoga mats) are allowed on the lawn
- Weather: Screenings are generally rain or shine. If the lawn is closed due to rain, the movie often continues with seating on the surrounding gravel
