Looking to get a workout in, but can’t bring yourself to get to the gym? Why not enjoy the open outdoors and get your sweat on through dance?
Bryant Park is hosting its 11th annual dance party this spring, inviting New Yorkers to let go of their inhibitions and shake and shimmy them out through music and dance from around the world.
The party will occur every Wednesday and Thursday starting on April 30th, concluding on May 15th. Participants will get to explore dance styles ranging from salsa to Motown and so on. Anyone can join and its completely free.
Interested visitors can meet near the Bryant Park fountain on dance party days at 6pm to receive initial instruction on the basic dance steps from professional instructors before being set free to feel the music and moves from 7pm to 8:30pm with live music.
