During yesterday’s official grand opening in Bushwick, the neighborhood came out to browse through some curated pieces of vintage clothing, furniture and a few random bits, whilst sipping on some complimentary drinks and munching on a few snacks.
Although BVC is still relatively new to the scene, one look at the place and you can see that it fits right in with the overall thrifty atmosphere that you find in Brooklyn. If the opening is any indication of what’s to come, things seem to be looking positive for BVC, not only on the business side but as a staple shop within the local community. The owners’ main goal is to keep history alive through sustainability and to inspire customers to give their one of a kind pieces a second life.
Located in what was once a 1900s sewing needle factory, BK Vintage Co’s interior gives off more of a homey vibe rather than a classic vintage store. Its wide selection of home decor is the perfect place to find unique pieces that you wouldn’t find in a regular ikea.
Check out their instagram for more details and drop by next time you’re in the area, you never know what little treasure you might find!
