Even during this challenging time, it’s spring and that means there are still signs of new life!
In its fluffiest, most adorable form: newly hatched penguin chicks. Along with its general animal updates, The Bronx Zoo is gracing us with video content of penguin chicks as they grow each week.
These chicks are the first eggs in the zoo’s new, larger colony of Little Blue Penguins (yes, that’s what they’re really called). Little Blue Penguins are the smallest penguin species and are mostly found in New Zealand and Australia.

And here they are with “signs of fluff”!
Catch all the cute, feathery details in the zoo’s Instagram Story highlight “Penguin Chicks.” You can even write in with any questions you have about the chicks and they’ll answer in the next story.
Note: watching tiny penguins being weighed is definitely the cutest thing you’ll see all week.
