Are your Tony Award predictions coming to fruition?
Broadway’s biggest night is underway, and the theater community is celebrating an extraordinary year in plays, musicals, and dramas as Cynthia Erivo of Wicked assumes hosting duties.
This year, Broadway got a little taste of Hollywood thanks to George Clooney’s Good Night, And Good Luck and Jake Gyllenhaal and Denzel Washington’s modernized retelling of Othello — both of which broke records at the box office.
It’s also been an adventurous year with the arrival of Stranger Things: The Last Shadow and a nostalgia revery with Mama Mia returning this summer.
But these are just a few tidbits of an extraordinary time for the Great White Way. If you’re not watching along with the fun happening at Radio City, allow us to fill you in on the winners thus far.
