A musical vigil will be held this Sunday, April 3, in Times Square as an act of solidarity towards Ukraine.
After the devastating bombing on March 16th of Ukraine’s Donetsk Regional Drama Theatre, that was being used as a civilian air raid shelter, the Broadway Community has decided to show their support to the Ukrainian community “the best way [they] know how,” through song.
The Broadway community and those who “find power in song” will gather on the red steps in Duffy Square to perform “Do You Hear The People Sing” from renowned musical, Les Misérables. The event is meant to send a message of hope from Broadway to the people of Ukraine.
This Sunday at 11:30am, join members of the Broadway community in Duffy Square to send a message of hope and solidarity to the Ukrainian people.

Verses will be specifically assigned to leading voices of Broadway, and all those who join are invited to come in on the chorus, “building the signature Les Mis march.”
Volunteers are still needed for videography, crowd control, and set up. If you or someone you know is interested, visit here.
