If you plan to be among the nearly 3.5 million people to take to the streets this Thanksgiving to watch the parade, you best bring a jacket! And a hat. And mittens. And a scarf… And a warm one at that!
According to AccuWeather News, the 93rd annual Thanksgiving Day Parade will be brutally cold as an unprecedented wind chill sweeps through New York City this week. While the sun will be shining during the day and no rain is expected, the chilling winds will snap any potential warmth right away.
While temperatures will only be in the lower to mid 20’s during the parade, cold winds will make temperatures feel dangerously low and according to the AccuWeather RealFeel, this could leave people with exposed skin at risk for frostbite!
So be safe and enjoy the parade bundled up in your warmest coat or better yet, from the comfort of your sofa in your pj’s.
