With home sweet home still the safest and most responsible place to hang out, New Yorkers have had to get creative with how they’re spending free time in their apartments.
Cue the at-home Zoom classes. And though some may leave you wanting a bit more, these new artisanal liquor tastings and holiday cocktail making classes are so interactive you’ll probably forget you’re even stuck at home! Each one will send all needed supplies (including alcohol) straight to your door, and the classes are led by top experts and master distillers in the field.
They also make a great option for office or group holiday get-togethers so you can all enjoy the same experience, even though you’re not in the same place!

Deep dive into Don Papa Rum as well as a tutorial with Peter Ruppert, the East Coast Brand Ambassador for Don Papa Rum. In this class, Peter will show you how to mix a high-end cocktail that can easily be made at your home bar, the same as it would at any five-star lounge! Don Papa is a premium aged, single-island rum from the Philippines, created on the foothills of the active volcano Mt. Kanlaon, where the finest sugar cane is milled to produce sweet, rich molasses.

Two years in the making, Milam & Greene is proud and excited to treat you to their Triple Cask Bourbon and Port-finished Rye. Each had been expertly blended by Heather Greene to ensure a robust and rich flavor to pop and shine when used in a whiskey cocktail. Milam & Greene Whiskey consists of Tennessee Whiskey aged about 10 years to add structure and richness. This session will be led by Marlene Holmes, Master Distiller & Heather Greene, CEO and Master Blender.

Get into the holiday spirit with KOVAL Distillery, one of the largest fully independent and woman-owned craft distilleries in the U.S. KOVAL utilizes unique Midwestern grains, such as oat and millet, paired with a signature “heart cut” distilling technique to create a universally approachable, smooth and bright line of single barrel whiskeys. Following the tasting, KOVAL will lead attendees in stirring up a delicious Bourbon Maple Old Fashioned, with tips and tricks on crafting the perfect signature holiday cocktail. KOVAL’s East Coast Market Manager, Chelsea Lovett, will guide attendees through a tasting of three of KOVAL’s most beloved whiskey expressions.
