It’s only been a few weeks since Guy Fieri’s midtown restaurant closed, but now Bobby Flay’s Bar Americain has closed, too.
The restaurant served its last meal at lunch yesterday (Jan. 17), and is now permanently closed. As Eater reported, “the celebrity chef’s restaurant, known for its Kentucky hot brown, would be closing due to a new lease and “prohibitively costly” renovations.”

The restaurant became a top destination for tourists due to its midtown location at 152 West 52nd Street and celebrity chef status. It opened in 2005, serving American staples like Bobby Flay Burgers and shakes, as well as great drinks, for 13 years. Now, due to rent and renovation costs Bar Americain has ended its NYC run.
