Whether you came for Usher, the commercials, or, well, the game, this past Sunday’s Super Bowl was quite eventful. And while many of us weren’t expecting it we weren’t in any way surprised when Beyoncé of all people stole the show.
It seems as if Beyoncé showing up to the Grammy’s in a wide-brimmed, white cowboy hat was more than just an utterly fabulous fashion statement as during the Super Bowl she dropped the news during a Verizon ad that her new album is coming out this year!
And, without further ado, here’s everything we know about Beyoncé’s new album:
What is Beyoncé’s new album called?
Beyoncé’s new album will be called Act II.
Act II is set to be a sort of continuation of her 2022 dance and house music-inspired Renaissance album which, at the time of its announcement, was said to be the “first of a three-act project.”
What genre is Beyoncé’s new album?
The Texas native is certainly going back to her roots in Act II as the album will be country-inspired.
And this won’t be Bey’s first time dipping her toes in the country music scene–she dabbled in the genre on her 2016 album Lemonade with the track Daddy Lessons.
When is Beyoncé’s new album coming out?
Beyoncé’s new album is set to come out on Friday, March 29th, 2024.
In the meantime, yoncé fans can already stream both “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages”–two singles from the new album–which are out now.
As we await the release of Act II we’ll leave you with this: in the wise words of Queen B herself (as sung in her new single Texas Hold ‘Em) “it’s a real-live boogie and a real live hoedown, don’t be a bi*ch just take it to the floor now.”
