With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, love is certainly in the air…or, maybe not. For some there may actually be a break up on the horizon, and if you’ve been putting it off because you’re not quite sure how to go about it, we can at least lend a helping hand to some extent.
We asked our followers to name the best places in NYC to break up with someone…and these are their answers! (And, if you need a good cry afterwards, we suggest heading to these places)
1. Subway 100%
And, more specifically:
2. On the L Train
3. Inside the New York City Public Library. Because they can’t yell at you, or cause a scene. All they could do is shed silent tears.
4. Chelsea – Always an alternative around :)))))
5. Any given sidewalk regardless of time of day or foot traffic
6. In the airport, “It’s ove…🛫✈️”
7. Washington Square Park (with the added benefits of all the rats)
8. The place where you met them & c’ya 👋👋
9. Bow Bridge Central Park
(On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, Bow Bridge is one of the top 10 proposal locations in the world!)
10. Any Starbucks
11. Times Square 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
(And one of our followers apparently actually did do that…on NYE…15 minutes before the ball drop)
12. Train station so you can go your separate ways
13. South Bronx
14. Top of Empire State Building
15. Port Authority station…so it will be easy to dismiss that convo
16. Lincoln Tunnel. Keep em guessing.
17. On a pier so you can push them off 🤣🤣🤣
Seriously…don’t get any ideas!!
18. Nearest Burger King
19. In a hot air balloon
(Do we have any of those in NYC???)
20. Right in front of the LOVE sculpture..🤣✌️
21. 42 street/Bryant Park…that tunnel is the perfect place!!!
22. Yankee Stadium on the jumbotron….
Okay this one is just cold 🤣
23. Their place. So you can leave.
24. A park. During the weekend.
25. The ferry
Thankfully, alcoholic drinks may soon be coming back to the Staten Island Ferry…you know, to help ease your broken heart.
26. Queens Center mall because you can hide in a store and turn off your phone and they will never find you
27. In a bar….any bar.
28. The Staten Island Dump
29. The office of a therapist
Or, if you really aren’t picky:
30. Everywhere
Similarly, these are 25 of the worst places New Yorkers have been broken up with.
