You’ve just eaten your fill of delicious sea food… what better to top it off than a classic dessert? Pearl Oyster Bar’s Hot-Fudge sundae is definitely that, a classic. Its simplicity is what makes it so damn good. Vanilla ice cream, home made hot fudge and whipped cream.
La Newyorkina
- Where – 240 Sullivan St., nr. W. 3rd St.
- The Sundae – Chilanga Banda

This Mexico City inspired ice cream shop is one for true sweet-toothers. The Chilanga Banda is what we consider their flagship sundae; tres-leches ice cream, spicy candied mango, puffed amaranth, and passion-fruit caramel.

- Where – 21 W. 8th St., nr. Fifth Ave.
- The Sundae – Blizzard
- Price – $12
The “blizzard” is a real triumph, with housemade vanilla ice cream, pretzels, walnut toffee, chocolate-cookie fudge, and Meyer lemon harkens back to those Dairy Queen treats you’d enjoy as a child. It’s the citrus hit that truely elevates this sundae.
Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream

- Where – 2 Rivington St., nr. Bowery.
- The Sundae – New God Flow sundae
- Price – $12
The New God Flow is Morgenstern’s ice cream-tribute to Kanye West. But what makes it so good? Two scoops of raw-milk ice cream on top of a fluffy slice of Japanese milk bread, coated in honey and toasted with a blowtorch. Yeah, it’s as good as it sounds.
Otto Enoteca Pizzeria
- Where – 1 Fifth Ave., at 8th St.
- The Sundae – olive-oil coppetta
- Price – $12
The olive-oil coppetta features a rich olive-oil gelato contrasted by tangy tangerine sorbet, but what really sets this apart are the candied blood oranges and pine-nut brittle. Delicious.
