It’s no surprise that NYC has it all: delicious food, world renowned attractions, and of course, an electric nightlife. And according to a new study, New York City ranked as the 2nd best city for nightlife in America.
Though we know in our heart of hearts, and from our countless hangovers, that NYC should be number one, if we were to lose the top spot to anyone, at least it’s Las Vegas.
BetMGM analyzed 100 of America’s most populated cities to conduct the study. They based their results on a number of factors such as the city’s number of bars, average hotel and drink prices, and activities available.
Practically the epitome of nightlife, Las Vegas, Nevada came in first place. Sin city has more than 340 bars listed on Trip Advisor and 960 activities to choose from. In comparison, NYC has thousands of bars and 1600 activities. Yet, NYC prices brought down its ranking with an average beer costing around $8.
Following NYC was Portland, Oregon in third, San Francisco, California in fourth, and Cincinnati, Ohio in fifth.
So though NYC has an endless amount of bars, nightclubs with spinning disco balls, and things to do, our pricey drinks cost us first place.
