It’s officially a Barbie summer!
As we all (yes, we ALL) get our pink outfits together for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie Movie to hit theaters this July, we couldn’t help but notice that everything has gotten a bit pink lately.
Between the Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse in L.A. and movie theaters cranking out their special edition Barbie merch, it’s been impossible to ignore all the creative Barbie collaborations and marketing!
And why would you want to miss out on the Barbie era anyway?! It’s pink, it’s fun, and it’s nostalgic!
#BarbieCore is officially the trend of the season. You can get your hands on Barbie makeup, Barbie hair accessories, Barbie food, and even Barbie’s neon rollerblades!
Before the Margot Robbie-led film hits theaters and completely turns the world upside down, here are some of our favorite things happening right now to turn NYC into Barbieland.
1. Magic Hour Rooftop’s Pink Bunny Beach
Atop the Moxy Hotel Times Square, you can find a great spot to pose for your latest #BarbieCore Instagram post! Magic Hour Rooftop, one of NYC’s best rooftops, is a pink-lovers paradise year-round, but they’re taking it up a few notches this summer during Barbie Madness. Guests can immerse themselves in a beach paradise with a pop-up decked out with pink lifeguard chairs, pink sand, and beach balls galore – all reminiscent of Malibu’s sunny shores. The larger-than-life human-sized doll box is an eye-catching feature, providing the perfect spot to unwind under pink palms and capture unforgettable moments.
The menu includes the Rich Kid$ RoséRita with Don Julio Rosado, Beach Rose, peach, gold luster, and pink popcorn!

The festivities kick off with a happy hour equipped with pink drink specials from 6-8 PM, but the party continues until 2! The Haus will convert into a pink paradise with cleverly themed drinks, decor, and photo ops for you and your fellow Barbies – Ken’s are invited too!

Once it hits theaters, you can expect this dine-in theater to have Barbie-themed drinks and bites.

5. FAO Schwarz’s Barbie Experience
FAO Schwarz is no secret to toy lovers of New York. The iconic toy and novelty store is no newbie to the Barbie world. One of their most popular attractions is their Barbie Experience, where they welcome you to a personalized process of creating your very own Barbie! Your Barbie is dressed by an in-store stylist and placed in an FAO x Barbie armoire in classic Barbie Pink!
Everyone’s favorite frozen yogurt spot has entered the chat with their take on a Barbie-inspired treat.
