Climate Signals is a new exhibition taking over NYC. Have you seen any of the city wide installation yet?
From September 1 through November 6, the Climate Museum, in partnership with the Mayor’s Office Climate Policy and Programs, is presenting Climate Signals, a multi-site outdoor installation by artist Justin Brice Guariglia. The exhibition consists of ten solar-powered highway signs flashing text that draws passers-by into the climate conversation.
Signs are located across all five boroughs, celebrating the diversity of the City. According to the website, each sign will feature the languages that are commonly spoken in its neighborhood.
As a part of this interactive installation, you can take part in the Climate Signals Scavenger Hunt by tagging @climatemuseum in your social media posts. If you tag yourself in all 10 sites, the Climate Museum will send you Climate Signals merchandise as a prize. The signs are located in a range of neighborhoods, including several that are particularly vulnerable to climate change. Get out there and check it out!
