If you’re feel like you need an alternative to beach days, we found your answer.
Aqua Park, an inflatable water park just two hours from NYC. covers 8,500 square feet with plenty of adventurous options: monkey bars, slides, diving boards, stairs, and beyond.
While of course we love a day at the Rockaways, cooler and book at hand, this is definitely another option worth bookmarking.
All about Aqua Park in New Jersey
Should you have young’uns in tow or simply want to try something a little different for your next summer getaway from NYC, the Ocean City destination is quite literally a playground on the bay — Great Egg Harbor Bay, to be exact.
Sessions start at $40 for 45 minutes, and group rates with 10 or more splashers is $35. The park is geared for those 6 and up, but there is a separate area for lil’ ones to enjoy some thrills, too.
Even better for the 18+ among us who are Jersey-bound? There are more cool options to keep you entertained if you run out of stamina on the playground. Visitors can also expect tubing, wakeboarding, water skiing, banana boat tours, and more. If your littles need some time on land, — or should we say sky — “The Sky” net adventure course is waiting for those who are willing once they dry up.
And, as much as we New Yorkers might not want to admit it, Jersey’s definitely having a moment. Madison Resort at Wildwood Crest has just been crowned the best new hotel in the entire country, right next to the state’s best beach.
Likewise, the Wildwood area also earned some time in the spotlight for having the best boardwalk in the entire country, spanning 38 blocks of fun: rides, food, views, and more.
So, if you’re not heading to the Garden State at least some time while the weather’s warm, we have to say, you’d be mistaken. For more on Aqua Park, visit its website.
