LIC, get ready! Because a Trader Joe’s is finally making its way to the area in 2020.
According to a recent report by LICpost, brokers have announced that a lease was signed by Trader Joe’s for the space at 22-43 Jackson Avenue (near the MoMA PS1). The report goes on to mention that the new store will be part of the Prime Building: “an 11-story, 70-unit mixed-use building that is currently under construction. The building, designed by SRA Architecture + Engineering and developed by Circle F, will open next year.”
However, other reports claim that these “plans are not confirmed.” That said, the Trader Joe’s wouldn’t be opening until the building does in late 2020, so there’s still time! This would be the second Trader Joe’s outpost in Queens, after Rego Park.
Stay tuned!
