From world-class food and culture to live music, iconic landmarks, and the chance to be part of a city that never stops buzzing, there’s no shortage of reasons to put down roots in New York City. After all, there’s a reason so many people dream of calling the Big Apple home!
But when it comes to major cities, finding a place to live that doesn’t eat up your entire paycheck can be quite the challenge. Luckily, programs like NYC Housing Connect are helping make that dream a little more attainable. Through its affordable housing lotteries, eligible New Yorkers can apply for apartments at rents well below what they might expect to pay on the open market.
One current opportunity is offering apartments across four Bronx locations, with monthly rents starting at just $732 for a one-bedroom. With options ranging from one-bedroom apartments to larger homes for families, this lottery could be worth a closer look for New Yorkers hoping to find a little more breathing room in their housing budget.
