Looking for thrilling family plans in NYC can sometimes feel like a chore, particularly when choosing between overcrowded museums and repetitive play spaces. However, Brooklyn Art Haus in Williamsburg is shaking up the local art scene with refreshingly accessible programming. Among its charming events is the Candlelight Babies plan—a sensory-friendly, low-pressure classical concert tailored specifically for infants, toddlers, and their parents.
Unlike traditional halls, tiny listeners can freely wriggle, crawl, and absorb live music, and parents can enjoy their night out without constantly feeling like they’re bothering other audience members.

Brooklyn Art Haus: From concerts for babies to circus shows
There’s always something exciting and quirky happening at Brooklyn Art Haus, starting this weekend with Candlelight Babies. Set in a warm, gently illuminated environment, a string duo will take on pieces from Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”, Bach’s “Air on the G String”, “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” by Mozart, among others.
It’s a hassle-free way to introduce your babies to classical music, stimulate their minds and bond with them in an atmospheric setting. The first concerts will be held on Saturday, October 3, with more dates scheduled for the rest of the year.
Beyond baby-friendly concerts, the 10,000-square-foot space hosts an eccentric lineup ranging from circus performances and ¡MUÈVANSE! Burlesque Festival to indie game nights, musicals, contemporary dance, and fringe theater. This weekend, the Williamsburg space is hosting film screenings and Q&A panels, part of Her Voice Film Festival.

A vibrant hub for home-grown artists
Founded in 2023 by executive directors Isaac Bush and Alex Orthwein, Brooklyn Art Haus was built as an inclusive sanctuary for local creators. The multi-disciplinary complex has a modern 150-seat black-box stage, where audiences can enjoy their incredible shows.
The venue also has an art gallery and a café and bar called The MOUTH, where attendees can enjoy coffee, craft cocktails, and light bights before and after their scheduled performances.
