Tucked away inside a small marina at Brooklyn Bridge Park, a floating bar operates behind a restricted-access gate, requiring a digital code for entry.
Concrete Shoals sits directly on the water, transforming a functional dock into a waterfront venue flanked by the Manhattan skyline on one side and the Statue of Liberty on the other.
Securing a spot at the bar starts with an advance reservation. Once booked, guests receive a text message containing walking directions and a temporary gate code. Visitors punch the code into a keypad on a chain-link fence, walking past a restricted access sign and down a long wooden dock lined with moored sailboats and yachts. At the end of the walkway, a small gray boathouse opens up into a furnished floating patio.

Dockside Access and Sail-Up Dining
The venue caters to both foot traffic and maritime visitors. Boaters from around the tri-state area can navigate directly to the marina, tie their vessels to the dock, and step right up to the bar. This allows captains and passengers to grab drinks and dinner on the floating platform before casting off and sailing home for the night.
The waterfront setup features Adirondack chairs facing the sunset and wooden dining tables scattered across the deck. Guests can order from a menu that includes specialty cocktails, spritzes, and large charcuterie spreads stacked with cured meats, cheeses, crackers, and olives.

Live Music and Screenings
Throughout the summer, the dock serves as an open-air entertainment space. The operators host live music performances and project live sports broadcasts onto a massive outdoor screen spanning the width of the deck. During the day, the surrounding water stays active with local boaters and kayakers playing kayak polo just off the adjacent piers.
Concrete Shoals is located at 159 Bridge Park Dr in Brooklyn Heights, operating as a seasonal destination directly on the East River.
