10. PERROTIN, Lower East Side
Ursprünglich wurde PERROTIN 2013 in einem historischen Gebäude an der Madison Avenue in der Upper East Side eröffnet. Nach drei Jahren zog die Galerie in die 25.000 Quadratmeter großen Räumlichkeiten in der Orchard Street in der Lower East Side um. In der Galerie werden ständig neue, zum Nachdenken anregende Werke gezeigt, und von Zeit zu Zeit werden sogar Podiumsdiskussionen, Workshops und Konzerte veranstaltet. 11. Michael Werner, Lenox Hill
Das 1990 von Michael Werner unter der Leitung von Gordon VeneKlasen gegründete Stadthaus, das in eine Kunstgalerie umgewandelt wurde, beherbergt zahlreiche moderne und zeitgenössische europäische und amerikanische Kunst. Zu den Künstlern, die hier im Laufe der Jahre ausgestellt wurden, gehören Sigmar Polke, Wilhelm Lehmbruck, Huven Andesron, Aaron Curry und Enrico David. 13. Gladstone Galerie, Chelsea
Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Galerien auf dieser Liste ist die Gladstone Gallery das, was man als „Blue-Chip“ bezeichnet, was bedeutet, dass sie sich hauptsächlich auf ein Kunstgenre konzentriert. Die Werke hier sind eher konzeptuell und abstrakt und erlauben dem Kunstkonsumenten, aus dem Werk zu machen, was er will. Die Kunstwerke der Taglialatella Galleries, die sich auf Kunst aus der Welt der Street Art und des Sekundärmarkts spezialisiert haben, sind von einem gewissen „Hype“ umgeben. Von einer riesigen KAWS-Figur (siehe oben) bis hin zu einem einzigartigen Keith-Haring-Kunstwerk ist hier alles sehr cool und super Instagramm-tauglich. 15. Templon, Chelsea
Die Wurzeln von Templon reichen bis ins Jahr 1966 in Frankreich zurück. Die New Yorker Niederlassung von Templon (die erst im Herbst 20222 eröffnet wurde) repräsentiert eine Gruppe internationaler Künstler, die auch an der Whitney Biennale, der Documenta und vielen anderen internationalen Ausstellungen teilgenommen haben. In den 4 Galerien waren bereits Künstler wie Yayoi Kusama und Andy Warhol zu Gast, was für eine gewisse Glaubwürdigkeit seit der Gründung vor vielen Jahren sorgt. 16. Salon 94, Upper East Side
Salon 94 gibt es erst seit ein paar Jahren, aber die Galerie veranstaltet Ausstellungen, Performances und Bildungsprojekte und ist eine der besten Kunstgalerien in New York City. Zu den bekanntesten Künstlern, die hier zu Gast waren, gehören Wangetchi Mutu, Tom Sachs und viele andere. Es gibt auch einen Standort in der 94th Street, der nur auf Einladung zugänglich ist.

17. Chase Contemporary, SoHo
Der letzte Punkt auf unserer Liste ist das Chase Contemporary, ein Kunstzentrum in SoHo, das sich zwischen Spring und Prince Street in SoHo befindet.
