Every year the New York Film Festival is the most anticipated fall event in the city. On Sunday at noon tickets for screenings officially went on sale.
The Film Society presents this event annually at the Lincoln Center, marking its 55th year this fall. The New York Film Festival will feature plenty of events and screenings, all of which you can attend over the course of seventeen days beginning Sept. 28 and ending Oct. 15.
The lineup released features festival veterans such as Agnieszka Holland, Aki Kaurismäki, and Lucrecia Martel along with NYFF newcomers such as Dee Rees, Greta Gerwig, Sean Baker, and Chloé Zhao. While there are plenty of screenings to catch throughout the festival, the roster for the 25 Main Slate screenings are as follows:
