The Great Northeast Cheese Festival is back in New York City for their fourth year, and they’re pulling out all the stops.
Dive into this delectable experience and give your taste buds what they’re craving! Sample all sorts of melty, crispy, toasty, salty and savory varieties of more than 75 artisanal cheeses—all of which come from the local creameries, farms, and mongers in the Northeast area.
Taste nutty sheep’s milk tommes, sharp cheddars, rich triple crèmes, and tangy goat cheeses served on their own. Then, move on to the specialty dishes prepared by top NYC chefs, like Chef Hugue Dufour’s (of M. Wells Steakhouse) decadent deep-fried fondue parmigiana made with cabot cheddar, gruyere, and parmesan, and Alfonso Zhicay’s (Michelin Bib Gourmand award winner) kabocha squash gnocchi with cheddar beurre blanc sauce. Other dishes incorporating wonderfully aromatic and creamy fromage will be up for tasting as well.
The cheese fest will take place at Flushing Town Hall in Queens, and in addition to all the tasty fromage there will be sweet donnolis featured from Vaccaro’s Bakery along with three hours of unlimited craft beers from Mikkeller NYC and ciders from Brooklyn Cider House.
Farm-to-table eats, delicious drinks, and cozy vibes galore; this mouthwatering festival is a cheese lover’s dream come true…too cheesy?
