When the biggest party of the year happens in the city, almost EVERY New Yorker wakes up on New Years Day feeling the same way. Hungover. Hungover as all hell. We feel your pain. Here are 21 things that every NYer will go through on New Years Day:
1. Wake up way too early for some bizarre reason
2. Go back to sleep until at least 1pm
3. Answer all unanswered texts so your friends know you’re alive
4. Tell them all you might not be able to make it tonight…
5. Drink water
6. Spend some time on the fire escape hoping the fresh air will ease the nausea
7. Resolve never to drink again
8. Acknowledge that once you feel better, you will, indeed, drink again
9. Decide you should eat something
10. Realize you have no food in your fridge
11. Contemplate whether you should walk to the Chinese place or get it delivered
12. Get it delivered, even though it’s only three blocks away
13. Resolve to spend the rest of the day in your pajamas
14. Go through your phone trying to remember what happened last night
15. Start to panic when you see texts/calls to/from your ex
16. Text your best friend to make sure nothing weird happened
17. Order more hangover food
18. Drink more water
19. Officially cancel your plans for the rest of the day.
20. Aimlessly browse the Internet reading articles like this one
21. Go to bed early
