After threats of Forest Hills Stadium’s summer concert series potentially facing suspension, we can all stop holding our breath because the beloved summer event will officially go on as planned! Like seriously, imagine a summer in NYC that’s not spent bopping around under the sun to your fav artists at NYC’s best al fresco venue?! That would truly be tragic.
Forest Hills Stadium was originally designed in the 1920’s as the home of the U.S. Open, and it actually didn’t begin booking concerts until 40 years later in the 1960’s. It quickly solidified itself as a staple in NYC’s music scene though after hosting some of the biggest names in music including Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. We mean, there’s a reason it was named one of the top music venues on the East Coast…
