Everyone is hoping to put 2020 behind them as we all eagerly await New Year’s Day to come…
And now, you can count down the days, hours, and seconds until 2021 with a giant new clock that has appeared in Brooklyn.
DUMBO, Brooklyn — the neighborhood which stands “Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass” — has become the home to a “countdown to 2021” clock. The clock counts the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until we can ring in the new year and leave 2020 in the past.
DUMBO is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the Brooklyn, famous for their high-end boutiques, luxurious restaurants, and adorable cafes. The area is insanely picturesque with the perfect backdrop of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge right near the waterfront.
The clock was put up by the DUMBO Improvement District. The non-profit organization is responsible for public art, DUMBO Archway events, and even the free public wifi! Their socials posted about the clock 6 days ago, asking New Yorkers if they’ve found the clock yet. Its original location from the post shares the clock under the Dumbo Archway. However, the post hints at changing locations with some spotting the clock on Washington Street at Water Street
The large display reads “Peace Out 2020” in cheerful multi-colored letters. Go explore the neighborhood and try to find the countdown clock for yourself! Make sure to hashtag your photos with #Dumbo2021
