For a limited time, you can experience everything from laugh-out-loud parodies to powerful dramas, all for just 20 dollars!
💸 What Is 20at20?
Presented by the Off Broadway Alliance, 20at20 is a citywide ticket initiative designed to make live theater easy and affordable. From March 23 through April 12, 2026, participating Off-Broadway productions offer $20 tickets to 28 different shows.
The experience is refreshingly old-school: about 20 minutes before curtain, you walk up to a theater’s box office, ask what’s available, and snag a seat.
It’s part deal, part adventure. You might plan your night around a specific show, or simply wander through our favorite city and see where the night takes you.
🎭 2026 Headliners
This anniversary season is particularly special due to the high caliber of talent hitting the smaller stages. Whether you are looking for sweeping dramas or laugh-out-loud parodies, this year’s list features some truly “can’t-miss” productions:
- Monte Cristo: The Musical: This world premiere at the York Theatre features a powerhouse cast including Sierra Boggess, Adam Jacobs, and Norm Lewis.
- Titus Andronicus: For those who crave intensity, Patrick Page (fresh off his iconic run in Hadestown) stars as the titular general in Red Bull Theater’s production of Shakespeare’s bloodiest tragedy.
- Heartbreak Hotel: Making its highly anticipated U.S. premiere after a hit run in London, this “play with music” from New Zealand’s EBKM company is a funny, tech-forward exploration of grief and breakup songs.
- Fan Favorites & Long-Runners: The promotion also includes the hilarious The Play That Goes Wrong, the whimsical Gazillion Bubble Show, and the “Drunk” series favorites like Drunk Romeo & Juliet.
