Spring has finally sprung – can I get an “amen”! Skip the cleaning and venture out to try some activities that will leave you feeling like a rabbit in springtime.
1. Breathe in the spring air at a local parks
Get a breath of fresh air and marvel at our city’s cherry blossoms at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden or enjoy a bike ride through Central Park.
2. Eat warm weather foods again
Lick, scoop, sip, etc. on goodies like ice cream, popsicles and smoothies that are just too difficult to eat with mitten-covered fingers.
3. Grab a bite on a city terrace
Speaking of eating, live up these 60 degree days with a meal al fresco on these relaxing terraces.
4. Get a little Irish in you
Not only is there a high of 63 tomorrow, but you can really celebrate the St. Paddy’s Day Parade now that public drinking’s been decriminalized. Talk about the luck of the Irish!
5. Take yourself out to the ball game
Sure, we may have just started Spring Training, but Yankee Stadium opens up on April 4th.
6. Feel good with some festivals
Spring is in bloom so come out and smell the roses at Macy’s Flower Show or take part in a colorful Holi extravaganza.
7. Go green
Get out and enjoy from fresh produce from your local farmer’s market. There’s one in just about every neighborhood!
8. Take a walk
Walking around no longer involves putting on 400 layers. Why not try a tour?
9. Come out on the river now that it’s not covered with ice
Shape up those sea legs and take a cruise on an unfrozen Hudson.
10. Beat the Easter Bunny
Whether you celebrate the holiday for the Cadbury Eggs or not at all, you won’t want to miss out on a demonic Easter Bunny and a long list of prizes.
