NYC’s iconic dollar slice may, for the most part, be a thing of the past, but not this week–on Thursday, April 18th, Slice Out Hunger’s $1 Pizza Party will return to NYC for the first time since Covid!
This year’s iteration will feature a star-studded lineup of NYC’s best pizzerias, including Don Antonio, sLICe, Emmett’s, Joe’s Pizza, Unregular Pizza, and more.
And make sure you come hungry because you can get up to 10 $1 slices!
The $1 Pizza Party will take place at St. Anthony’s Church on Sullivan Street in SoHo, complete with live pizza making with portable ovens.
Tickets are not required for entry–just show up and purchase $1 tickets to be exchanged for slices, drinks, and desserts. The only tickets sold in advance are skip-the-line VIPizza Passports (more on those here).
Slice Out Hunger began in NYC by a group of pizza lovers in an effort to fund hunger relief efforts across the US. They gather together the city’s top pizzerias to donate pies for a pizza party in which all proceeds go to various hunger relief organizations.
Since their conception they’ve raised over $1.3 million.
Considering the cost of an NYC pizza slice has jumped 19% over the last 8 years–we even had to say goodbye to the ever so reliable dollar slice at 2 Bros. Pizza–this is definitely a can’t miss event.
