If you have blooms on the brain, you’ll be pleased to learn that Flower Flash has blossomed at the Union Square subway station today only until 3pm. (Venture to 16th Street and Union Square West.)
After 26 hours of rain in NYC, you can enjoy pretty, complimentary petals courtesy of Zyrtec and notable florist Lewis Miller. Commuters entering the station will be graced with a gorgeous warm-hued display of florals for the taking. Need we say more?
The display includes 4,000 blooms and 3,000 chrysanthemum flowers are being given out to busy New Yorkers.
All about “Flower Flash” in Union Square TODAY!
So, what is “Flower Flash?” In Miller’s terms, it’s:
“Flower Flash is a noun, a verb, and an adjective at once. A Flower Flash, with its decadent blooms bursting from a trash can and groaning under its own weight, is a noun. To Flower Flash, as the words imply, is a verb that denotes spontaneity and swiftness, but it is much more than quickly heaping hydrangea heads next to a steam pipe in a busy avenue. It is visceral, imperfect, and rambunctious, but confident.”
We don’t know about you, but we’re never one to deny ourselves something pretty for spring! See you at the subway station.
