Last month we told you how three NYC restaurants broke into the “World’s 50 Best Restaurants List”. Sadly, NYC didn’t make it to the number one spot, that honor went to Chef Massimo Bottura, the man behind Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy. Chef Bottura’s is renowned for his charity work and is at the forefront in the fight against food waste around the world.
Next year the celebrated chef will bring culinary genius to New York City. He told the Italian press (and the world via Instagram, see below) that he plans to open a traditional “dining hall” in the Bronx. The project will be a collaboration with the Italian consul in New York, and as you can see below, have some kind of connection to the actor Robert De Niro.
