It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s actually the world’s largest rubber duck (so technically I guess it is a bird) and it’s making a splash in New York this weekend!
To share with you the sheer size of this ducky, it towers six stories high, reaching more than a whopping 61 feet. But this duck is not alone. She’s accompanied by her duckling, also known as Timmy. But little Timmy is only tiny to Mama Duck as he stands 10 feet tall.
Together the pair already visited Splish Splash in Calverton, New York from August 2-4, but they’ll be back in the state from August 16-18 at Playland Amusement Park.
If you’re visiting Playland, all you’ll need to do is purchase an admissions ticket to the amusement park and your entry will give you access to see Mama Duck and Timmy.
“We are thrilled to feature the Big Duck for our second annual Duck Days of Summer at Rye Beach,” said Evonne Keeler, Chief Executive Officer of Playland. “Mama Duck brings her oversized love and joy around the world, and we are excited to have her swim up the Long Island Sound to Playland. All weekend, we will feature fun games, giveaways, photo ops, fireworks, and live music.”
The world’s largest duck is set to continue its roadtrip after making an appearance at Playland with proceeding stops in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Virginia Beach, and Springfield Georgia.
