Returning after a four-year hiatus, the world’s largest NYC-themed trivia contest is heading to the Queens Museum tomorrow, Friday, April 12th.
More than 200 participants are expected to gather together to test their New York knowledge during the 13th annual event. And the best part–it all goes down at The Panorama of the City of New York at the Queens Museum, a massive scale model of NYC’s five boroughs created for the 1964 World’s Fair.
The contest uses the model as a sort of massive game board, using a laser pointer to highlight different neighborhoods on the model as clues. Trivia topics this year include “Awkwafina,” “SNL & Staten Island,” “Fame,” and more NYC-centric minutiae.
The City Reliquary’s 2023 Miss Subways and 7 line lover, Harmony Hardcore, and the ever-popular Halftime Quiz will also put on a special halftime performance. DJ Frankie Teardrop will play 64 Fair-era doo-wop, soul, girl group, and British Invasion tunes throughout the night.
As for the winning team they, of course, win the ultimate bragging rights and will have their team name added to the Panorama Challenge Trophy, housed at the Queens Museum, joining past winners.
Advanced team registration for the NYC-themed trivia contest is no longer open, however you can register for $25 at the door the night of the event.
