While most supermarkets across NYC are open on New Year’s Eve, they will likely be operating on a holiday schedule.
Below is a list of stores and their hours for New Year’s Eve. We suggest calling your local outpost ahead of your visit, as hours could potentially shift across different locations:
- Aldi: 9am-7pm
- Eataly: 7am-11pm
- KeyFood: 7am-9:30pm
- Lidl: 8am-6pm
- Morton Williams: 7am-7pm
- Trader Joe’s: Closing at 5pm
- Union Market: 7:30am-9pm
- Wegman’s 7am-11pm
- Westside Market: Open 24 hours (holidays might affect these times)
- Whole Foods: Closing at 7pm
- Zabar’s: 8am-7:30pm
Keep in mind that most grocery stores are likely closed on New Year’s Day, so you’ll want to stock up on supplies ahead of time.
Drug stores
CVS will be operating on fewer hours for the holiday and closing at 6pm at locations across the city. Walgreen’s will remain open until 7pm.
