The brand new Waterline Square Park offers three acres of expansive greenery with beautiful waterfront views!
Recently unveiled on the Upper West Side, Waterline Square Park is the newest space to relax on a bench, read in the grass, or admire at the Hudson River waterfront.
Though located in the middle of the Waterline Square residential development (at 400 W 61st St.), the park is completely open to the public to enjoy.
“This coveted green space acts as a backyard for the residents and pets of the Waterline Square residential development, and also as a much-needed outdoor space for residents of the surrounding community to relax, exercise and enjoy nature,” said a recent press release.
The park was designed by landscape architecture firm Matthews Nielson Landscape Architects. As the park reaches the shore of the Hudson River, “prioritizing pedestrian circulation, view corridors, and public accessibility,” visitors are sure to embrace a little taste of nature in the hub of the city.
The park includes fun water features for kids to splash about, pathways to stroll, plants to explore, and a playground to enjoy. Thanks to developer GID Development Group, socially-distanced events like Grammy-nominated artist performances and yoga classes have been scheduled for residents of the area and nearby New Yorkers.
Bordered by Waterline Square, three waterfront residential buildings, the park is additionally located near Empellón and Somm Cellars Wine & Spirits and Harry’s Table by Cipriani.
The park, serving as a green getaway and a backyard for local residents is definitely a must-see spot for anyone looking to spend a relaxing time away from the city without actually having to leave it!
