A video on Citizen app of a massive water stream pouring out the side of a Manhattan high-rise began circulating yesterday after a water leak was reported in a tower on Eighth Avenue and West 42nd Street to the FDNY. According to NBC New York, the gushing water halted around 12:30pm. No injuries were reported.
It appears the leak lasted for around 30 minutes. In the end, the gushing water was just a fire pump test, reported NBC New York. Nearby ground areas were blocked off from pedestrians.
The incident comes less than year after a massive crane had caught fire and collapsed over 10th Avenue.
