Watch Free Movies On Deck Of An Aircraft Carrier In NYC This Summer

The summer is within Spitting distance, that means it’s outdoor-cinema o’clock, but only venue one gives you the chance to watch on the deck of an aircraft carrier.

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum has officially announced it’s lineup for summer movie screenings, starting May 26th with Top Gun. If you’ve never had the chance to watch a movie from the deck of an Aircraft carrier, now’s your chance.

Sit back on the flight deck, with a clear view of our city’s iconic skyline and a view of the Hudson and take in one of the six movies on offer absolutely free. The flight deck opens at 7:00 pm and the films start at sunset (weather permitting).

A piece of advice; get their early, tickets are given on a “first come, first served” basis and space is limited. You’re welcome to bring lawn
chairs and blankets, as well as food and non-alcoholic drinks to enjoy during the show. Here’s the rundown:

Friday, May 26
Top Gun

Tuesday, July 11
Good Morning, Vietnam

Tuesday, July 18

Tuesday, July 25

Tuesday, August 1
The Martian

Tuesday, August 8
Back to the Future
