This fascinating show was created and performed by award-winning mentalist Vinny DePonto. It was written by DePonto and Drama Desk-nominated playwright and screenwriter Josh Koenigsberg, who has worked on Emmy-winning series Orange Is The New Black (Netflix/Lionsgate) and High Fidelity (Hulu/ABC Signature), as well as standout plays from Al Business Cards to Dance Lessons.
Andrew Neisler directed the production, whose credits include the Drama Desk-nominated Charlatan at Ars Nova and the NY Times’ Critics’ Pick Clown Bar at The Box. A slew of successful Tony-winning producers worked on Mindplay including Eva Price (& Juliet, Redwood), Thomas Kail (Sweeney Todd, Hamilton), Arielle Tepper (Appropriate, Dear Evan Hansen), Madison Wells Live (Swept Away, Shucked), Seth A. Goldstein (Water for Elephants, Gutenberg! The Musical) and Isaac Robert Hurwitz for Hugo Six (Maybe Happy Ending, Moulin Rouge!, Once Upon A Mattress).
