Japanese retailer UNIQLO just got a whole lot more caffeinated.
The beloved clothing store (with multiple location around NYC) just welcomed the debut of its first ever in-store coffee shop in North America, headquartered in the Midtown location on Fifth Avenue.
New Yorkers can now climb to the second floor of the Uniqlo Midtown location and try out their new cafe appropriately dubbed Uniqlo Coffee.
Expect a menu of very simple drinks including classic coffee, espresso beverages, cold brew, and matcha lattes. Plus, they also have non-caffeinated drinks like hot chocolate, orange juice, and water as well.
Prices start at $3.95 for small coffees and max out around $7.50 for large matcha lattes.
The brand new Uniqlo Coffee opened on March 14th, 2025 and took over a Starbucks stand in the same space, which closed way back in 2018.
UNIQLO’s other flagship stores (including Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Malaysia) have these exact UNIQLO Coffee spots, but this location marks the first on US soil.
The international cafés are virally known to sell pastries and desserts like cookie butter cheesecakes and hojicha gelato…something the Midtown location hasn’t adopted quite yet.
The store chain has had a quite a couple of months here in New York City. Just last September, they opened up more affordable sister store GU right in the heart of downtown SoHo.
That shop focus on similar apparel to the original UNIQLO (shirts, pants, and other garments), but with an emphasis on affordability.
Midtown’s Uniqlo Coffee is open daily during store hours. Those store hours are 11 am – 8 pm every day.
