And though the store didn’t quite leave for good — its new owners brought back two stores in 2019, but they closed again earlier this year due to COVID — it’s a making a real big comeback at NJ’s American Dream Mall. Yes, the one with the largest indoor water park in the Western Hemisphere and 16-story indoor ski slope.
The toy conglomerate will be opening a 20,000-square-foot, two-level shopping extravaganza in mid-December, just in time for holiday shopping. It will be located within the mall right near the Nickelodeon Universe Theme Park and DreamWorks Water Park.
The store will feature its classic toy brands, meet-and-green opportunities with the famous Geoffrey the Giraffe, interactive experiences and product demonstrations, and new branded elements like Geoffrey’s Café and ice cream parlor, two-story slide and more, a press release shared.
This will be the first and only standalone flagship store of the iconic and beloved toy brand in the entire country. This is in addition to 400 Toys”R”Us shop-in-shops slated to open inside various Macy’s stores across the U.S. in 2022.
We're so excited to be opening up over 400 locations with @Macys across the U.S. in 2022! Plus, more news to come! #MacysParade
