The 32nd Annual Tour de Bronx is officially back! In partnership with Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson, this massive ride is the largest free cycling event in New York State.
Over 4,000 riders are expected to hit the pavement on Sunday, October 4, 2026.
Whether you’re looking for a scenic autumn workout or a fun weekend activity, this is the perfect way to explore the borough’s best sights.
Choose your ‘epic’ route
You can totally choose your own adventure. The event features a 10-mile family-friendly route, a solid 25-mile route, and the highly anticipated return of the epic 40-mile route.
Every single ride kicks off at 161st Street and Grand Concourse. The 40-milers will launch first, followed by the 25-milers about 15 minutes later, and finally the 10-milers.
You’ll pedal past iconic spots like Orchard Beach, the Bronx Zoo, and City Island. All routes ultimately culminate at the breathtaking New York Botanical Gardens.
Safety, street traffic, and bike rentals
Don’t have a bike? No problem at all. You can easily rent a bike through their partner, Unlimited Biking.
Keep in mind that this is an open-ride event, meaning the streets will remain open to vehicular traffic. However, rider safety is the top priority.
The organizers developed the paths to avoid major roads and intersections. NYPD and volunteers will also be stationed at key intersections to assist with traffic and ensure everyone stays safe.
You will also find rest stops along each route. These stops are fully equipped with water, snacks, restrooms, and first aid support.

How to grab your bib
