The area from 31st and 33rd Streets, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, is defined as Manhattan’s lively Koreatown (also referred to as K-Town). An influx of Korean immigrants moved to America between the 1970-1980s. It was around this time that Korean immigrants transformed this area of Manhattan to be a space for Korean community and local workers.
Now, it’s often recognized for its bright signs, late night crowds and delicious offerings. Koreatown alone is jam-packed with more than 150 businesses! So let’s get into to some of the best spots to explore whilst you’re in NYC’s Koreatown, from food to bars, karaoke and desserts!
