The K-Town neighborhood is expanding with a large new food hall opening in Midtown later this year!
The new K-Food Gallery that’s preparing to open in the Garment District this summer is a whopping 23,000-square-foot space that’s expected to house 16 different restaurants! Located at 218 West 40th Street, the large market will be dedicated solely to Korean cuisine and will span the entire ground floor of the 12-story office building in addition to a mezzanine level and basement space.
According to an original report by Eater, the three-story dining venue has already released the names of a handful of vendors that you’ll be able to enjoy once it opens including: BB.Q Chicken, Tiger Sugar, Eggdrop, Marrizzang, and Jongro BBQ. The creators of this new market (KFF, INC.) are the owners of popular Korean restaurants Jongro BBQ and Dons Bogam.
K-Food Gallery has signed a 15 year lease for the space, and will feature everything from breakfast items to tasty desserts. It’s set to open in the summer of 2020 as part of the KFF, INC.’s initiative to expand in 30 major US markets by 2022.
