100 ‘lucky pennies’ worth $1,000 have been hidden in 10 major cities across the United States, and yes, 10 of them are in NYC.
The campaign launched on Tuesday by Ally Financial, a financial services company, to ‘demonstrate the importance of valuing every cent’
Ten of the coins were placed in: Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Austin, Chicago, Charlotte, Detroit, Miami, New York and Washington, DC as well as our beloved NYC.
Clues for the locations of the lucky pennies can be found on the company’s social media pages: facebook & twitter.
Ally have made it known that the “lucky pennies” are slightly larger than a regular penny, with the Ally logo on the front and the number ‘100,000 cents’ on the back, signifying how many cents the Ally Lucky Penny could be worth.
Hey, #AllyLuckyPenny hunters! Please remember that all pennies are located in plain sight in public places. Stay safe, and good luck!
