“The UES,” on the Upper East Side, of course, is an ice cream shoppe that normally doubles as a speakeasy.
Yes, adding to our NYC bucket list now! Since indoor dining isn’t open though, the ice cream shoppe has opened an adorable outdoor dining patio right in front.
And besides serving all different kinds of delicious ice cream (both hard and soft serve), they are also taking a cue from their “Storage Room” bar by serving delectable “Cocktails A La Mode.” Sip on craft cocktails with a sweet twist, some with ice cream and some without. We have our eye on the “Serendipity IV” with Legent Waffle Cone Bourbon, Grand Brulot Café Liqueur, Chopin Dorda Sea Salt Caramel Liqueur, SoCo Creamery Salted Caramel Ice Cream, Cream Ale, and Bourbon Cookie.
Enjoy ice cream, cocktails, and small bites outside on watermelon tabletops and under pink umbrellas! Seems like the perfect summer night. And if you don’t want to eat out yet, they will even deliver the delicious concoctions right to your home (drinks must be purchased along with food or ice cream as per the NYS regulations).
The UES is located at 1707 2nd Ave, and patio hours are Tuesday & Wednesday 3-10pm and Thursday-Sunday 3-11pm (the patio is not open on Mondays). You can find out more details on their website here!
