Jacob’s Pickles on the UWS is THE place to go for good ol’ Southern comfort food like fried chicken and biscuits…oh, and pickles, of course!
Now the team, who also runs Maison Pickle and Lucky Pickle Dumpling Co., just opened a retro tiki bar called “Tiki Chick” that will bring chill island vibes to the Upper West Side.
Tropical cocktails are one of the main components, divided into the three categories of “Tiki Classics,” “Tiki Originals” and “Frozens.” Classics include a “Singapore Sling” with a banana-infused Brooklyn-made Old Tom gin, while the originals include a “Fish Face” with cachaca, guava, coffee and absinthe.
Oh, and there are plenty of frozen drink options. From a classic “Hurricane” with passionfruit and rum, to the “Pickle Painkiller” with their signature hot sour pickle brine, rum, coconut and tropical juices.
Plus, there are big boozy bowl options that you can share with your friends.
Another reason it will be especially perfect when the weather warms up is the tiki torch-adorned patio space. Still, it’s just as fitting for escaping the winter chill NOW and pretending you’re on a tropical island instead of fighting the biting winds and wiping your nose for the thousandth time in NYC!
Island-inspired grub includes fried chick’n and spam on sweet buns, and sweet and savory breakfast sandwiches served between doughnuts for weekend brunch.
