So we know that TriBeCa still holds its spot as the most expensive neighborhood in New York, but what about the most expensive individual pieces of real estate sold this year? Here they are.
1. 520 Park Ave, $73.8 million and

Two apartments at the new, sky-high 520 Park Avenue building take the top two most expensive sales for the year. The number one spot was the sale of the penthouse which has six bedrooms!
3. 503 West 24th Street, $59.06 million
The Getty building near the High Line made history this year with the sale of a two-floor penthouse. It came in at a whopping $59 million, making it the most expensive piece of real estate to ever be sold in Chelsea.
4. 157 West 57th Street, $59 million
According to Mansion Global, this luxurious penthouse on “billionaires way” sold in April after spending quite a few months on the market. The sale was made for a price way below the $70 million asking price. Apparently, the seller was a Ferrari collecting, Canadian billionaire. The apartment has three bedrooms, a private landing, and a 1,500-square-foot master suite with floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the city.
5. 70 Vestry Street, $56.01 million
This luxury apartment complex in TriBeCa has waterfront views. According to Curbed, the apartment that sold closed from $10 million below the asking price. What a discount.
