After seven seasons of musical performances, audience interaction, and lighthearted, personal moments, Kelly Clarkson has announced that her eponymous daytime talk show is coming to an end. The singer, songwriter, and TV personality confirmed on Instagram she’s saying goodbye to the show to spend more time with her children.
The Kelly Clarkson Show began in 2019 and earned 24 Daytime Emmy Awards during its run. Several moments from her “Kellyoke” segment, where she would cover songs chosen by audience members, went viral over the years, including Jelly Roll’s Save Me, Coldplay’s Fix You, Celine Dion’s My Heart Will Go On, and Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings.
Clarkson mentioned how she’s been “fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people” and has had “so many amazing moments and shows” that she’s forever grateful, all of which make it difficult for her to step away. The show’s staff and crew were informed of the talk show coming to an end the same day Clarkson shared the news with viewers.

An Instagram post on Monday, February 2 reads:
Because of all that, this was not an easy decision — but this season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.
Clarkson has an 11-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son with ex-husband Brandon Blackson, who passed away in August 2025 at the age of 48 following a three-year cancer battle.
Fans of the show, of course, are heartbroken.
Comments on Clarkson’s post range from “Sending you so much love and gratitude” and “You are amazing ❤️❤️❤️,” while others are just hoping this isn’t the last they’ll see of Clarkson, writing things like “CAN YOU PLEASE RELEASE ALL YOUR COVERS AS A GOODBYE GIFT?? we will miss you!!!!!!” and “Next up: the Kelly Clarkson podcast. One can dream 😮💨.”

We can’t say for sure whether that cover album or Kelly Clarkson podcast will actually happen, but she did assure fans this isn’t a goodbye. Her post goes on to read:
This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on ‘The Voice’ from time to time’…you never know where I might show up next. But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.
A press release from NBC states that production on season seven will continue as planned, with new episodes airing through fall 2026. Special guest hosts will be announced soon.
