Your commute just got a whole lot more exciting! The team behind former top spot on the World’s 50 Best Bars, The Dead Rabbit, and Managing Partner Jack McGarry, just announced that they’re opening a brand new cocktail concept, The Irish Exit, at the Moynihan Train Hall this fall.
Through the new bar, “The Dead Rabbit redefines the ‘Irish exit’ as a gateway to introduce customers to the spirit of Ireland during their journey–combining authentic Irish heritage with a quick wit.” The tongue-in-cheek name adds to the bar’s exceptional program, consisting of Irish spirits and whiskey, domestic beers and Guinness, boilermakers, frozen drinks and more.
According to the press release it will be a “centerpiece for the Moynihan Train Hall,” serving as “a beacon for travelers, offering an escapist experience for quick transit pints, after-work cocktails, or a neighborhood meet-up.”
The Irish Exit will seat up to 216 customers. Though the Moynihan Train Hall outpost is the first location, the bar expects to expand into additional airport and transit locations by 2024 and thereafter.
What will be unique about the Irish Exit is that food from other Moynihan Train Hall purveyors will be permitted into the space, in addition to their own selection of Irish pub food. Emphasizing quick service, the bar is designed for the hustle and bustle that travels through the train hall each day.
“As with all of our brands and concepts, The Irish Exit is rooted in an invitation to experience modern Ireland in genuine, fun, and irreverent ways,” says McGarry. “Transit hubs lend themselves to simple and accessible venues, and there’s an opportunity and demand for a compelling new concept that does this in a thoughtful way through Irish hospitality.”
Crown Creative will use their expertise to bring the space to life with fun transportation signage, retro train departure clapper boards, and cute slogans on display throughout.
And since The Dead Rabbit is the world’s most awarded pub, we’re sure The Irish Exit will be nothing short of incredible.
